Out at last! Nature, we love you

Who would have thought it? Just a few days ago, it was the 200-metre rule that applied. Back then in South Tyrol, a walk around the house would suffice, and not much further. Now that these tight restrictions have been lifted, we took the chance to visit the Wurzeralm in Hafling with joy in our hearts and a sense of hunger for nature and freedom.
In the kingdom of nature
It was almost a regal feeling to roam the woods again, to see the sun shining through the treetops and to hear one's own muffled footsteps. For sure, at the Mirabell we are privileged anyway, given that we are allowed to use the generous space that otherwise belongs to you.
But to take a walk without limitation, to see familiar faces (even if covered by masks), this was something entirely different. And although there are not that many, those people you meet are by no means strangers. And this is how you greet each other: from a safe distance while being closer than ever before.

Under the spell of the senses

How nice it would have been to see the face of a treasured guest once again. The Mirabell is far too quiet and empty these days. And it is too quiet – often almost oppressively quiet – out here, too. But there is one good thing about the emptiness that has shrouded so many places. You perceive nature more consciously again, you breathe it in and let it work its magic. The colours seem stronger, the forest more alive, every impression more intense. You notice things that you would otherwise overlook and are grateful with all your heart for the sheer beauty nature has to offer.
Taking those last few steps up to the Wurzeralm and suddenly standing in front of a sea of orange-blue crocuses was truly breath-taking. Of course, we did not pass up the chance to visit the Chalet “M” Alm. Who knows when we will be able to raise a toast together there again and watch Michi making dumplings! Hopefully soon...

Here’s to seeing each other again soon
The Chalet “M” Alm has awakened memories, but everything else around us makes us think of you. We really miss our guests and simply cannot wait to share all the beautiful places in Hafling, Merano 2000 and Hotel Chalet Mirabell with you again.
Fortunately, guests enjoy plenty of space with us, meaning that you will be able to visit us again soon in safety. This is because vastness is not only found around us and in the mountains but also in the 10,000 m2 Mirabell garden, the large spa area and in the hotel rooms, which were deliberately designed to be spacious. This is probably one of the best attributes of the Mirabell: There is certainly no shortage of space – leaving plenty of room to accommodate all wishes and desires. See you soon, and stay healthy!
